Description

Compressible Sealing Tape: Your Solution for Effective Joint Seals

The 15/2-6 mm compressible sealing tape in gray is an indispensable helper for anyone who values high-quality sealing. With a length of 17 meters and the ability to reliably seal joints from 2 to 6 mm, you will see immediate improvements in your construction project. It not only offers sophisticated protection against wind, dust, and splashing water but also helps reduce energy costs through improved thermal insulation.

Thanks to its sound and thermal insulation properties, your living environment remains pleasant and energy-efficient. The tape is manufactured according to DIN 18542 BG1 and consists of impregnated foam, making it an ideal choice for primary sealing in joints and connections exposed to direct weather.

Highlights of the Compressible Sealing Tape:

  • Pre-compressed on a roll for easy application
  • Color: Gray - matches many application areas
  • Cutting width: 15 mm for versatile uses
  • Roll length of 17 m for extensive projects
  • Maximum decompressed approx. 13 mm for perfect adjustments

Rely on the 15/2-6 mm compressible sealing tape for durable and effective joint sealing, and protect your building structure sustainably!

How to determine the correct band dimension?

Proceed as follows when determining the dimensions:

1. Measure the width of the joint to be sealed (at least 8 mm according to the installation instructions).

2. Select the tape dimension so that your measured joint size is optimally in the middle of the application range. Example: Joint width 8 mm → tape width 7–12 mm. This gives you sufficient leeway for natural size changes of the joint.

3. The installation depth must always be greater than the maximum joint width. Joint sealing tapes are constructed according to this principle – for example, dimension 15/7-12: joint width 7–12 mm, installation depth 15 mm. Also consider the surface quality of the joint flanks: For rough or structured surfaces (e.g., plaster), you can use a wider tape with a greater installation depth than for smooth surfaces.
